‘Parked’ is an attempt to revitalize vulnerable recreational open spaces of Mumbai through intelligent placement of elements that brings the old and new together within an urban park. Imagine a space where people can come and take their mind off daily routine and converse with others around them and communicate with the space and use this pocket park together with various fun activities. People will be able to use this space openly and freely. A green unused patch is a big waste in any ecosystem. The project aims at reviving this green patch and making it more convivial to the surrounding. Such pocket parks can create multiple values for the community it resides in. The attempt was also to make the space more adaptable to current environmental and healthcare needs of the society. The site chosen is a small abandoned patch of land which has immense potential to grow into a vibrant public space set in a dense urban jungle.
