Thesis Abstract:

User Experience seeks to promote rich, engaging interactions between users and software. In order for this experience to unfold, the user must be motivated to initiate an interaction on with the software. The aim of this thesis is to advocate for the user’s interests and improve the utility, ease of use, and interaction of the user with the software resulting in a responsive user experience. The thesis presents low fidelity wireframes and possible outcome of the software.

Dashboard softwareThe new Siemens Software is a web based Dashboard Software. A dashboard is a data visualization tool that displays the current status of metrics and key performance indicators for an enterprise. Dashboards consolidate and arrange base measures, sprints, users, metrics and sometimes performance on a single screen. They are tailored for a specific role and display metrics users iterations targeted for a single point of view or department. The essential features of a dashboard product include a customizable and pull metrics users measures and import from multiple sources. This software is designed for use of the employees of Siemens itself. User experience design is the process of enhancing a user’s experience with a product or service. It involves an understanding of their behavior to create a successful design. The purpose of this Software UX design is the process of creating interactions that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. This involves the design of the entire process of acquiring and integrating the required tools, and interface design, usability, function and most importantly user experience.
