Soumya Kasuganti received her masters degree in Visual Communication Design from Arizona State University. She worked as graphic designer while she was pursuing her graduate education and interned at Karten Design in Los Angeles. As a teaching assistant at ASU, she found herself challenged, and grew into a more confident designer. This experience led Soumya to her current role at ISDI. More recently, Soumya worked for a startup in Chicago, heading their user experience efforts. She also has experience working as a freelance visual and user experience designer. Her other interests include research methods, design ethics, systems thinking, and designing for social impact. Before she found her way to design, Soumya received a bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology Calicut
