Sancho's is an independent Mexican restaurant in the heart of Mumbai city. It's an ideal spot for tex-mex cuisine. The project is to redesign the space keeping the Mexican painter Frida Khalo as an inspiration. The primary motive behind this project is to learn about Mexican culture and understand how fundamental Frida Khalo’s evolution is in serving the emotion of freedom.
The idea is to show the impression of her robust persona yet a side of her delicate self, utilizing the indoor and the outdoor space.
The long undulating bar runs from the indoors to the outdoors, depicting Frida’s soft personality inside whilst a stronger face on the outside.
The indoor space is in an organic form, consisting of curves and drapes showcasing her delicacy.
