In these extraordinary time, everything has changed, the pandemic has altered our lives, in more ways than ever.

What has not changed and will not change is our commitment to raise innovators out of students; our commitment to world class education, to the budding designers of India.

This is a summon inviting all the bright design enthusiast from 11th & 12th from your school, to join the biggest interschool design competition of the country – “DESIGN TITANS”.

We are HYBRID this time.

Challenge steps

ROUND 1

A team of 2 choose a category,
Register and submit their concept note, along with a sketch.

ROUND 2

All selected teams from each category are Invited to give physical shape to thier entry of Round 1.

This in person round will be held at following cities,
Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Chennai, Surat, Nashik.

Final

National winners in each category will be announced post evaluation of submissions of winners of Round 2.

Theme

Design for all (Inclusivity)

The concept of inclusivity implies change, mutation, alteration among others.

Add to these the multiple challenges, including climate crisis, raging pandemics, increasing inequities, urgent need to address violence and racial reckoning, that individuals experience on an everyday basis. These provide a perfect backdrop for bold and stimulating deliberation for design solutions.

  • Participants will be designing furniture
    which is environment friendly using
    recycled material
  • Function of the furniture will be given on
    the spot via lottery.
  • Material to be carried – Card board sheets
    A2 size 5 numbers, chopsticks
    (wood/bamboo), colors, Pencil, Eraser, Glaze paper, Pair of scissor, glue, Cello tape, pins, colors etc.

  • Participants will be designing the cover page for a fortnightly news Magazine.
  • 1 object will be given through lottery, to
    be used in the cover page design. The
    cover page should highlight cover story,
    feature of the fortnight and should
    encourage the audience to buy a copy.
  • Material to be bought by students – Pencil,
    Eraser, colors, Glue, Scissors, Chart Paper and Random decorative material, old newspaper magazines.
  • Duration: 90 Min

general Guidelines
  • Its a team activity for a group of 2 students.
  • Only Shortlisted students from Round 1 will be invited for Round 2.
  • Each activity in Round 2 will be for 90 minutes.
  • The designs will have to be created on the spot and must be based on the concept note and sketch submitted in Round 1.
  • Stationary and other material to be brought by students, details mentioned.
  • 1 team can participate in only one activity although one school can nominate multiple teams.
  • 3 trophies in each category in Round 2 - 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
  • Mega prizes for National Titans.
  • Participation Certificates to all the participants.
